Capture 2021
With rehearsal space and time getting busier, more expensive and heavily time-limited, visualising your show is a critical part of the creative process in both theatre and live events. I have worked extensively with Capture Visualisation software on various projects, some of which are highlighted below.
Capture allows the designer/directors and programmers to work on building the design of their show before having to physically hire and buy equipment or the space. It also allows you to trial different ideas and experiement more than would be possible within the real world.
Capture also has the potential to produce much of the associated paperwork needed for a show, including plots, fixture and equipment lists and patch information.
Triangulate - Madison Sqaure Garden - Visualisation project
I wanted to push the limits of what my computer and Capture could comfortably handle with this project. "Triangulate", a name I chose based on the chevron truss design of which the central six are automated, has over 750 fixtures including large quantities of multi-element lights such as the GLP X4 Bar 20 and Clay Paky A.Leda K25.
